About Katie

I’m a University of Mary Washington student originally from Ashburn, VA. I have written everything from sci-fi novels to screenplays as well as experience filming, directing, acting, and editing.

Writing

After publishing my first novel at the age of twelve, I have been writing novels, plays, screenplays, and short stories nearly constantly.

Film

I have worked on several student films in roles such as directing, acting, filming, and editing. My one-and-done approach means that I work efficiently and don’t waste time.

I spent years in the Odyssey of the Mind creative-thinking program, developing my leadership and teamwork skills. After winning the state competition and repeatedly placing highly in the World Finals, I can confidently say that my ability to think on my feet and outside the box are unparalleled.
