X-Men: The Live-Action Series
The assignment
This took me way longer to do than I thought it would. I have been hyperfixated on this show for months, so of course I wanted to do something with it. At first, I was going to use my own arrangement of the X-Men: The Animated Series theme song, but I couldn’t figure out a way to play it that would sound halfway-decent. Instead, I used this arrangement, which is significantly longer, meaning I needed more shots. All the visuals either came from the existing X-Men movies, or this fan-made film. The voice lines did not come from the movies; the bigot at the beginning is a line from the original show, the crowd is me and my friend’s voices that I duplicated and messed with the timing and pitch to make it sound like a crowd, and the Patrick Stewart-sounding line is Patrick Stewart. At first, I was going to leave in more sound effects and voice lines than I did, but I found it difficult to get rid of the score underneath the voices and gave up. It’s a project for another day.
